Peace
Came across a pic I snapped over a year ago. DAMN, how time flies. Anyway, the organization is called Women in Black. They stand in silent vigil with the hope of promoting peace in our time.

Observers
At the annual Flower Mart Friday, these were many of the wares being peddled by vendors up and down the concourse. It was certainly a great day to be out and about for this. I spied more than a few other togs out doin' their thing!

Give
All along Pratt Street (and other places) in downtown Baltimore, the city has turned old parking meters into deposit devices for the homeless. The Downtown Partnership periodically empties them and uses the money toward shelters, food collection and other services for Baltimore's homeless.
A grand gesture, indeed, but I wonder how effective it is...

Not yet!
Come on, Spring! It's about gotdang time!
I'm so sick of cold weather, blustery days and gloomy weather. Bring on the sun & 70 degrees days! Bring on the short skirts and cleavage-enhancing tops!
Man, I'm gonna take my ass on MSU's campus one of these warm Spring days and take a ton of pics (cuz Lord knows...all of the above will be on display in abundance!).
I need to find myself a model or subject or two for the Spring & Summer months. Any suggestions?

PCC
Down along Falls Road in Baltimore City (near the North Avenue Light Rail station) is the Baltimore Streetcar Museum. (Depending on your point of view) strewn along the roadway are abandoned and rusting hulks of streetcars from days past. Streetcars from earlier iterations of mass transit in Baltimore and rail companies long gone. There are even PCC cars from Philadelphia's Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority.
My interest was piqued and, last summer, I took a series of pics, including this gem.

I tried my hand early with Photoshop's Panorama Auto-stitch function. Not bad for a first timer, huh? I still need work on getting my AEL and bracketing done properly though.
I actually did this a while ago. I should try this again!

Commute
I'm still trying to work the intricacies of this OM 50mm lens, and part of that includes taking pics at random times at the drop of a dime.
For example, a crowded Metro train during afternoon rush hour.
A train filled w/ weary workers, the musky down-trodden, and everyone else you could jam together into a narrow rectangular metallic box w/ little-to-no air circulation. What fun.
But I digress...The funny part about taking pics of random things is the reactions one gets from the people who happen to be in the line of photo fire.
You'll have your:
- pissed off white collar workers who'd much rather not be photographed;
- their blue collar counterparts;
- youth (of varying ages) who are hopelessly afflicted by attentionwhoreism; and, of course...
- Women who think you're hitting on them.
It's funny how people react when someone pulls out a camera.
